Dr. Eric Patridge (he/him) is a Data Engineer and Life Scientist in New York City, with a passion for advancing infrastructure and conducting research in healthcare and both the clinical and life sciences. His professional experience touches upon clinical studies, data science, medical and nutritional ontologies, pharmacology, enzymology, and microbiology.


Currently, Eric is a Computational Principal Scientist at Viome, where he focuses on health and wellness solutions driven by AI/ML, informing clinical recommendations with functional medicine, personalized data, and machine-learned microbiome models. Earlier, Eric worked at a large biotechnology company in Rockville, Maryland, where his primary focus was on the curation of clinical trial data from a variety of therapeutic areas. Eric has also served as a domain expert in cancer biology at Cycorp, where he used Natural Language Programming to represent molecular mechanisms of cancer.


Before his technology pivot, Eric was a Research Scientist at Yale University where he coordinated research programs to assess FDA-approved drugs, to screen natural product antibiotics, and to test anticancer drug candidates. He holds a PhD from The Pennsylvania State University and graduated from Skidmore College.


Eric is also Founder and Former President of oSTEM, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit which serves LGBTQA+ STEM students. As an engineer of scientific infrastructure, he remains dedicated in multi-disciplinary research and to sustainable, effective mentorship.
